Preservation architecture // 2019-present // UNDER CONSTRUCTION & INITIAL STAGES
These are unique and interesting projects intertwined and integrated into the archeological sites of the City of David. Maayan House project's objective was to expand to the existing underground paths to connect to two new intimate group spaces in the complex archeological underground environment. As well, new restrooms and storage room tower was added in this area.
The other project, Parker Excavations, is a modern integrated building annexed to an existing preservation building leading the visitors to new excavations. This new building is comprised of three floors, a lookout large roof deck and tribunes facing out to the unique view, a cafe and gallery floor and a lower floor for the new excavation site that connects to a complex maze of existing underground passageways to excavations and archeology. It is currently in initial stages of design and planning.
